It is also a celebration of our shared identity as biomedical laboratory scientists, united in our mission to improve healthcare worldwide.

Dear Honorable guests from overseas and domestic professional members,

On behalf of the Japanese Association of Medical Technologists and the Organizing Committee of the 36th World Congress of Biomedical Laboratory science, I am delighted to extend my warmest welcome to our members from all around the world. We had an excellent time with you during the 32nd World Congress, in Japan, in 2016. It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you back to Japan, once again. The 36th World Congress of IFBLS will be held from September 23-27, 2026, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Biomedical laboratory science is relevant to diagnostic work and public health care. As it had made remarkable progress, we need to get a new knowledge timely. The exchange of information at the global level is important. We strongly believe that this occasion will be a great opportunity to reconnect and deliver another fruitful scientific exchange. The Congress theme is “Bridge to the future of BLS around the world”. I hope that this Congress will serve as a bridge for knowledge sharing and meaningful interaction among participants.

There has been a hard time holding scientific meetings because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are happy to offer ample opportunities to meet old friends and get acquainted with new ones. I wish you all a most pleasant stay in Japan and hope you will take home many rewarding memories of the Congress.
